Round River Drive Trail – There are 107 miles of trails for All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) (class II allowed) and OHM. Some of the trails are for more experienced riders but there are trails marked for beginners, too. Martineau Recreational Trail – This trail system has 97 miles of single-track OHM (Off-highway Motorcycle) trails. Of course, maps are available at the DNR website, too. The Paul Bunyan State Forest has over 105,000 acres and many miles of trails in the Forest for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, motorcycling, and ATVs.Īccording to the DNR the following Trails are in or near the Paul Bunyan State Forest. The southern shore of Kabekona Lake is within the Paul Bunyan State Forest. If you plan to launch there, please take the necessary precautions not to spread aquatic invasive species. Kabekona Lake has one public access it is located on the west side of the lake. The DNR has more information about Kabekona Lake’s fish species and regulations. Walleyes, Yellow Perch, Tullibee, and Whitefish do well in the cold, oxygenated water of Kabekona Lake. Whether people are visiting or purchased real estate in the Walker, Hackensack, Longville area, there is something for everyone to do in the Leech Lake, Ten Mile Lake, Woman Lake, and Kabekona Lake area.įishing a really clear lake has its challenges, but anglers can make necessary adjustments.
